St. Louis was the place to be from 16 to 21 November as the global high-performance computing (HPC) community gathered for an exciting week of sessions, keynote speakers, and top-tier networking. The Supercomputing Conference 2025 brought together thousands of scientists, engineers, researchers, educators, programmers, and developers to learn, share, and innovate. The EXA4MIND project proudly made its mark at this prestigious event.
The America’s Center Convention Complex hosted over 16,500 participants and a record 559 exhibitors under this year’s theme: “HPC ignites.” As tradition dictates, the conference unveiled the latest TOP500 and Green500 rankings. The top three positions were claimed by American supercomputers – El Capitan, Frontier, and Aurora – followed by Jupiter, the first European exascale supercomputer, marking a significant milestone for European HPC. The top ten also features four more European systems: HPC6 (Italy), Alps (Switzerland), LUMI (Finland), and Leonardo (Italy).
The EXA4MIND project coordinator, IT4Innovations, showcased its work at booth #4604. The Czech National Supercomputing Center promoted its infrastructure, including the first Czech quantum computer VLQ and the Karolina supercomputer. The team also highlighted European projects including EXA4MIND, screened a project presentation, distributed informational leaflets, and organised a raffle that rewarded three lucky winners with high-quality power banks.
The Supercomputing Conference in St. Louis was a great success. SCinet, the conference’s advanced network, delivered an impressive 13.7 terabytes per second of bandwidth to support demonstrations and research collaborations. If you didn´t have opportunity to attend the conference, do not worry, the organisers have already announced that next year’s event which will take place from 15 to 20 November 2026 in Chicago.
