From 11 to 13 February, the EXA4MIND consortium met in Prague, on the premises of the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC CTU), for its plenary meeting. This was the first face-to-face consortium meeting of 2025, the third year of EXA4MIND, in which we will finalise many of our developments. It was therefore a very important plenary meeting for the partners to review key issues for the development, implementation and materialisation of the EXA4MIND extreme data platform.

The meeting was divided into three days with the aim of giving the consortium the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions that would allow all partners to know first-hand the status of the work packages, even if not directly related to their role in the EXA4MIND project, and to delve deeper into those areas that need a little push to reach the end of the project with the homework done and the objectives met.

The first day was dedicated to reviewing the scientific and general status of the project and discussing key aspects for 2025, such as the dissemination and exploitation of materials and results, as well as the communication activities we plan to carry out. The afternoon was used to start discussions on the code and the most technical aspects of the application cases, and ended the day with a look at the European FAIR data ecosystem and open data practices.

On the second day, the partners of the EXA4MIND consortium followed up on the topics mentioned in the afternoon of the first day by delving into the most technical aspects of the application cases, in order to translate into tangible results all the research and development carried out by the technical and scientific partners during the first two years of the project. Finally, a small hackathon was held on the third day. Technical partners split into groups to work towards the first release of the EXA4MIND platform source code.

After these productive and enlightening days of face-to-face discussions, the consortium is more than ever ready to implement all the knowledge and research of the last two years. Stay tuned as EXA4MIND will show its full potential in 2025.
