Exa4mind – Extreme Analytics for Mining Data spaces

IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center participated in Researchers’ Night, an evening event during which hundreds of scientific institutions across Europe open their doors to showcase research and its impact on everyday life. This year’s event, held on 26 September, marked the 20th anniversary of Researchers’ Night in the Czech Republic, with the theme WEALTH.

The EXA4MIND project was represented primarily by David Hurych from Valeo, who delivered a presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence in System Validation and Beyond.” On behalf of Valeo, David Hurych introduced the latest methods and AI models for processing image, LiDAR, and textual data used in the validation of advanced driver assistance systems before their deployment in real-world traffic. The presentation attracted more than 20 attendees and also covered unsupervised machine learning methods developed within the EXA4MIND project.

In addition, IT4Innovations hosted an EXA4MIND booth, where David Hurych screened a demo video illustrating Valeo’s application case and he was answering the curious questions of all attendees. Visitors could also take part in a short quiz, followed by a raffle, where lucky winners received EXA4MIND promotional items.

Overall, IT4Innovations welcomed nearly 1,400 visitors to its premises, successfully bringing research closer to the public through a variety of engaging activities including excursions, lectures, competitions, and, most importantly, entertainment.
