Exa4mind – Extreme Analytics for Mining Data spaces

EXA4MIND made its way to the EUDAT Summer School 2023

The EUDAT Summer School 2023 was hosted in Kajaani, Finland from 26 to 30 June. It is a training event that aims to provide researchers, data managers and data scientists with the skills and knowledge to manage, store and share data effectively. The summer school was organised in collaboration with the DICE project and it covered topics such as data management planning, data stewardship, data preservation, data discovery and access, data interoperability and integration, and data analysis and visualisation. The event also offered hands-on sessions where participants could learn how to use the EUDAT services and tools to support their research workflows.

Consortium members, Jan Martinovič and Martin Golasowski from IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center, joined the event as trainers who presented the LEXIS Platform and its connection to the EXA4MIND project in a session called “Enabling complex workflows for analysis”. Mohamad Hayek and Viktoria Pauw, consortium members from Leibniz Supercomputing Centre attended the EUDAT Summer School 2023 as participants and enjoyed the providers´ and users´ tracks.

The EUDAT Summer School 2023 was open to anyone who was interested in learning more about data management and the EUDAT infrastructure, and its goal was to strengthen the skills required to excel in data management, getting the participants geared up to manage and process data throughout the full, research-data lifecycle. This year´s edition was suitable for early career researchers, PhD students, postdocs, and research support staff who work with large or complex datasets. The summer school welcomed students mainly from European countries, and it was divided into providers´ and users´ tracks.
